Tamakoshi Valley

The Tamakoshi Valley carries great potential for hydropower production.

SN Power has been active in Nepal since 2006. Subsidiary Himal Power Ltd today supplies almost 15 per cent of Nepal`s total electricity output.

SN Power entered Nepal in 2006 through the transfer of Statkraft`s majority share (57.1 per cent) in Himal Power Limited (HPL).

Khimti 1

SN Power and HPL are currently carrying out project development and feasibility studies for an expansion of the 60 MW Khimti 1 plant, which supplies almost 15 per cent of Nepal`s total electricity output.

Tamakoshi III

SN Power, in cooperation with Tata Power, is continuing the project concept studies, feasibility studies and environmental and social impact studies for the Tamakoshi III hydropower plant.

With an estimated 600MW of capacity, the plant would nearly double Nepal`s installed capacity and represents the largest single foreign investment in the country.
