REPORTS TO:         SVP, Head of Commercial

JOB LOCATION:    HQ Oslo, Norway (international travel required from time to time)

 

OBJECTIVES FOR THE ROLE:

 

  • Secure that projects are commercially viable throughout the development phases

  • Understand and evaluate complex greenfield and acquisition projects

  • Improve business cases

  • Prepare high quality investment proposals, presentations and decision documents

  • Ensure that financial modelling is conducted according to SN Power’s standards, and requirements

  • Deliver support to projects under development

  • Explore new markets and business opportunities.

 

MAIN DUTIES:

 

  • Supervising, following up and reviewing development, running and update of financial models

  • Securing commercial viability in project- and project related agreements towards host-country authorities, partners or other interested parties

  • Participating in, and, from time to time, taking a leading role in project negotiations

  • Conducting financial engineering and identifying risks and opportunities to improve business cases

  • Conducting due diligence activities

  • Contributing to and taking lead in preparing appraisal reports and various investment decision documents such as reports, memos and presentations

  • Improving and maintaining the company’s valuation manual including related policies and procedures, and ensuring compliance

  • Studying and reviewing of new markets and business opportunities.

 

COMPETENCIES/REQUIREMENTS:

 

  • Higher degree within, incl. profound understanding of, business, finance, and/or economics

  • Analytical skills with excellent numerical- and Excel abilities- Preferable background from investment analysis and financial modelling (5-10 years of experience).

  • Commercial mind-set, must be able to see the big picture

  • Working capabilities in a multi-national/global environment

  • Strong written and oral communication skills – English

  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to work in team

  • Ability to demonstrate work consistent with SN Power’s Core Values and Business Principles

  • Self-propelled, takes initiatives and is interested in learning the hydropower business, from technical through to commercial aspects.
