SN Power has entered into an agreement to acquire a major shareholding in the Brazilian renewable power company Desenvix.
SN Power acquires energy commercialization company in Brazil
SN Power has today entered in an agreement to buy all the shares of the energy commercialization company Enerpar (Energias do Paraná Ltda.), a Brazilian subsidiary of the Norske Skog Group, for BRL 120 million, approximately USD 75 million at the current exchange rate. Enerpar owns energy purchase contracts up to the end of 2025 for an average annual value of 1.2 TWh. The company will continue to provide part of this energy to a Brazilian subsidiary of Norske Skog until 2015 and sell the remainder to other free customers. Closing of the transaction will take place by the end of May.

La Confluencia - SN Power’s fifth United Nation CDM registered project
Last week the United Nations approved the registration of SN Power’s run-of-river hydropower plant, La Confluencia in Chile under the Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) of the Koyto Protocol.
SN Power reorganizes part of its portfolio in Chile
As part of a strategy to reorganize a portion of its assets in Chile, SN Power announced today an agreement with its partner Centinela. Under this agreement, SN Power acquired the 20% participation of Centinela in Norvind S.A., increasing its ownership from 80% to 100%. Norvind operates the Totoral Wind Farm, which has 46 MW of installed capacity and it is located about 300 kilometers north of Santiago.
TATA Power and SN Power Consortium wins bid for 236 MW Dugar hydropower project in Himachal Pradesh
Oslo, 14 April 2011: Tata Power, India's largest integrated private power company today announced that the consortium comprising of Tata Power and SN Power Norway has bagged the “Dugar Hydro Electric Project” in Chenab Valley in Himachal Pradesh, India. Tata Power and SN Power, Norway entered into an exclusive partnership in 2009 to develop hydropower projects to meet the increasing energy demand in India and Nepal through the provision of clean energy.
