SN Power Hanoi Representative Office established

SN Power has officially established a Representative Office in Hanoi, Vietnam. The Hanoi Office’s purpose is to conduct business development and identify growth opportunities in the Vietnamese power market. “SN Power has followed Vietnam’s growth potential for many years. We are proud to have finally opened our Hanoi Office as a first step to become a long term investor in Vietnam," says Erik Knive, Executive Vice President SN Power Southeast Asia.


SN Power plans on becoming an industrial investor in Vietnam within the next 8-24 months. SN Power will in the first phase look at acquisition prospects whilst Greenfield opportunities will be looked into when local foothold is secured.
 
As a first step to achieve the SN Power Vietnam strategy, SN Power has established a Representative Office in Hanoi, Vietnam. The office was legally set-up on 11 March 2010, but is in official business with from today, 6 April 2010.
 
The Hanoi Representative Office will be headed by regional business development manager, Mr. Rodolfo Azanza, temporarily seconded from his position as country representative in Manila, Philippines. A process with a local headhunter has started to employ a permanent local country representative. Support staff will be hired immediately after, and a fully-functional SN Power office is expected by August 2010. The chief representative of the Hanoi Office is the Vice President for Southeast Asia, Mr. Torbjørn Kirkeby-Garstad, who is based in Singapore. He is supported by a composite team from the SN Power Singapore and Philippine offices.
