Lariang River is one of the two largest rivers in Sulawesi alongside Sadang River (in South Sulawesi).

The Project site is approximately 60 km east of the point where Lariang River enters the Macassar Strait just past the town of Lariang and about 16km downstream of the confluence of Lariang River and Mbewe River where Gintu town is sited

Installed capacity is 200 MW. The plant will be connected to the PLN Sigi substation or the Tentana substation (alternative) via a 90-km double circuit 150 kV dedicated transmission line, enabling supply to Sulawesi Tengah main load centre of Palu and load centres further south.
